We are looking to attract a part-time Maintenance Assistant to be based at our Meadowside Leisure Centre, Whitely with occasional support required at River Park, Winchester.

What your role will be

You will work closely with our Contract Technical Manager to deliver the day to day maintenance regimes and minor reactive repairs of the contractual hard facilities management (FM) responsibilities covering:

  • Monitoring and evaluating planned preventative maintenance regimes
  • Building fabric planned preventative maintenance regime
  • PfPL’s Health & Safety policy
  • PfPL’s environmental policy
  • PFI Contractual obligations
  • Operational maintenance issues

Please note that this is a part-time role where you will be expected to work 20 hours per week, which will be 5 hours per day either morning or afternoon, the hours and days of which are flexible and can be discussed at interview.   A driving licence is required as you will be required to support River Park Leisure centre on an occasional basis. You will be expected to be contactable 24/7 on a rota basis with other team members for emergency call out issues and be a nominated key holder.  

Your background

In order to be successful in this role you will have a multi-trade background or previous experience in a similar role.  Ideally you will have a background of working to corporate policies and be able to produce basic reports showing progress on scheduled works.  

It would be beneficial if candidates were qualified to ONC or City & Guilds in either Electrical or Heating & Ventilation Services; although this is not essential. Furthermore, it would be advantageous for you to hold a Pool Plant Operators Certificate, however full training can be provided.
