The Role;

The General Manager  will be in charge of supervising all on-site operations and sales activity, increasing its efficiency, member satisfaction whilst at all times keeping our operations running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is driven, organised, meticulous on all levels, a people person who can take this unique opportunity in maintaining our high standards, keeping us at the fore front of the industry.

Responsibilities;

To lead a team of motivated, engaged, inspired staff who strive daily to deliver great service and standards. You will set demanding expectations of  your management team and support their growth and development.

You will own and drive the member experience whilst calmly handling any operational challenges that come your way. You will take responsibility for key metrics related to the club’s performance and budget management. You will drive daily member satisfaction and club retention. You will  have to think critically and analytically  communicating regularly to the board.

Requirements:

  • Education; BA / BS or equivalent in Business, Hospitality, or other related degree
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a General Manager in a health club and spa setting (managing a minimum of 20+)
  • Excellent leadership, organisational management, and delegation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience with managing and being held accountable to a P&L
  • Experience managing business growth with a proven record of consistently meeting membership sales KPIs and revenue growth.
  • Experience with member retention strategy and implementation
  • Core skills; Integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, a strong work ethic and high emotional intelligence.
