As our Maintenance Team Leader you will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality across our hotel and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations. You will be expected to achieve a level of service through the constant monitoring of our established brand standards. As a result you should be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards. You should have a can do attitude. In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below.

As a Maintenance Team Leader you will:

Assist the Maintenance Manager to carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks correctly and efficiently ensuring a safe environment for guests, visitors and employees. Achieve this by responding swiftly and productively to all directions from Managers, ensuring high standards of guest courtesy and minimum operational disruption. Carrying out short term (reactive) maintenance and decorating work e.g. repairs affecting guest bedrooms, public areas and services as a matter of urgency but adhering to all safety procedures whilst causing minimum disruption to guests/patrons. Respond to complaints/problems politely, positively and professionally making every effort to resolve them. If you cannot resolve them, referring them to your Manager, for support or an alternative solution. Be aware of the hotel security policy in place, along with hotel emergency procedures. Use, operate and store all tools, equipment, and materials including chemicals safely and securely to comply with statutory regulations e.g. COSHH and the company Health and Safety Policy. Furthermore, ensuring that all workshops, plant rooms and all other engineering areas are always clear from debris to ensure a clean working environment. Develop good working relationships with external contractors. Carry out checks of maintenance materials at least weekly, keeping stock levels to the minimum necessary to maintain continuity of service. Be proactive in ensuring that the Hotel’s external surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy Ensure that the workshop, plant rooms and all other engineering areas are clean and in safe condition. This includes removal from areas all items of debris or litter. Work hours detailed in the engineering rota. Enter defects and breakdowns in log books. Create and maintain a pleasant and professional relationship with all members of Hotel staff. Participate in the call out system out of normal working hours as required due to/depending on business needs.
