Buying Assistant - Frozen
Based at Asda House in Leeds
About the role:
Getting the details right can have a surprisingly big impact, as you'll soon
realise when you join our team. In this incredibly fast moving and ever
changing environment, you'll discover exactly how much the little things
matter. From daily sales and profit reports, to admin support and marketing -
getting everything accurate is hugely important. And doing it as efficiently
as possible will bring savings to our customers as well as to our business.
High attention to detail is required with a tenacious and ambitions attitude.
This position would be suitable for a candidate who would like to develop
their career & be a Buyer in the future!
The ins and outs:
* Supporting the Buyer in all areas, including sales tracking and analysis
* Keeping the admin up to date, including line listing, cost and retail
changes, linksave & promotional set up and analysis
* Liaising with suppliers to ensure that they keep to deadlines and tasks
* Inputting into decisions on ranges and promotions
* Answering and resolving store/supplier queries
* Maintenance of pricing instore & online
* Raising and reconciling of internal and external invoices to the category
* Assisting the Buyer with competitor research and the day to day trading of
your category
What you'll need:
* Be a well-motivated self-starter
* Be able to work alone or as part of a team
* Have great attention to detail
* Have good IT skills, particularly Excel
* Have a good level of numeracy skills, and be able to analyse complex data
* Brilliant time-management, organisation and communication skills
* Passion for the customer
