Assistant Manager Production - Automation - Fleet - Ship Based

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Assistant Manager Production – Automation on board one of our ships. Join us and you will discover that working at sea is more than just a job. Working on our impressive production shows, you will be responsible for operating our fully automated stages featuring computer controlled multi level pits, traps and stage lifts, revolves and serapid tracks. You will also have exposure to full height fly towers featuring up to 25 programmable electronic hoist fly bars, pyrotechnics, performer flying systems and speciality aerial apparatus and rigging.

As an Assistant Manager Production, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing the management of automated operation

  • Stage design for large shows, cabarets, bands, various musical programmes and much more

  • Deputise for the Production Manager when required

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the company’s health and safety guidelines and regulations.

Previous experience of working with systems in large entertainment venues and on a variety of shows would be advantageous. In addition, relevant industry qualifications in Stage Design would be a great benefit. As you will be supervising production crew, any experience of supervising would be a great advantage. We would also like you to have a basic knowledge of operating and the set-up of audiovisual equipment. However, the above are not essential. We believe in hiring people with the right attitudes and strengths over their competencies.

As an Assistant Manager Production, you never know when equipment may fail. However, the fact that you are a great practical problem solver and calmly adapt to changing circumstances will ensure that you cope well if this ever occurred. Your drive to make a difference and to work hard will ensure that all productions run smoothly and are well managed. The Stage Manager will come to you for assistance and together you will make a great team because you are a reliable and dependable person.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the world’s leading Cruise brands. Life on board involves working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for the time that you are on board. Your 10 hours will be split between morning, afternoon and evening activities.
