The Coniston Hotel Country Estate and Spa offers a fantastic opportunity to anyone looking to join a rapidly growing business with an ambition to be a significant landmark hotel. The 71 bedroom  4 AA star hotel also plays host to a wide array of activities on the 1400 acre estate which includes; a state of the art spa, a Shooting Ground (CPSA Premier standard), Falconry Centre, Coniston Off-Road Centre, Fly-Fishing on the 24 acre lake or River Aire and Archery.

The Huntsman’s Lodge and Macleod’s Restaurant and bar form the heart of the hotel and both offer a wide range of locally produced food. We offer excellent conference and meeting facilities forming the base of unique team building days. Weddings are also a significant part of our business.

We are a family run hotel which is privately owned by the Bannister family, who are involved in the day to day running of the business.

The existing 170 Coniston Hotel team are very customer centered and if you pride yourself on delivering excellent customer service then you will fit in well.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As part of the Off-Road Centre Staff you will be responsible for coordinating corporate activities and leisure experiences as well as aiding in the booking process. The applicant must be a keen team player, hold excellent communications skills with a keen eye for detail, whilst offering first class, personal customer service to clients.       

Reporting to: Off-Road General Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Booking in clients (Leisure and Corporate)
  • Coordinating a team of Off-Road Instructors
  • Delivering and managing high quality events 
  • Processing inquiries
  • Attending Events and Shows
  • Promote awareness of Coniston brand image internally and externally

Other Activity:

  • Preparing bespoke events
  • Calling clients pre-booking date, to ensure the best service is provided
  • To assist in the sales of activates wherever possible
  • Score and deliver awards based on the needs of the customer
  • Delivering comprehensive safety briefings (Training provided)
  • Communicating with the wider business when necessary on event days
  • Process and keep log of information provided from management and Training staff 
  • Meet and greet new business clients on arrival and work with other operation teams
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships within the hotel
  • To fulfill health and safety protocol

PERSON SPECIFICATION  

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Full Clean UK driving license
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Proficient Computer user
  • Excellent communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task
  • Manage a varied workload
  • Familiar with marketing & social media

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of the automotive industry / a willingness to learn
  • Experience of driving 4x4 Off road vehicles – training can be provided
  • experience in a coordinator / events role
