Web / Online Merchandiser - eCommerce
About the role;
Online Grocery is part of one of the fastest growing areas of the business, with its Online Development, Activity, and Merchandising Team consisting of 52 passionate, like minded individuals, working together to maximise online sales and conversion.
This role will ensure delivery against an aligned category strategy, working collaboratively with trading teams and suppliers to improve the online proposition for our customers and improve conversion, sales and profitability.
The Ins and Outs;
Implementing range changes on the website to critical path timingsImproving ease of shop and customer journey through search, navigational solutions and other website spaceDelivering against category sales plansImplementing promotional activity on the website in line with storeReview, action and communication of sales data to drive changes to the websiteReview, action and communication of website data to introduce new rule based merchandising and drive changes to the websiteMaintenance of range including: imagery, descriptions, content and navigation in order to achieve optimum storefront healthBuilding collaborative relationships with trading teams to deliver against set goalsWorking collaboratively with the Activity & Design team to deliver category strategy initiatives such as additional contentWorking collaboratively with the Development team to test changes to the website and implement recommendations for personalisationWorking collaboratively with the E-commerce supply team to ensure ranges exit successfully on the website
What you’ll need;
This role will provide a tight link between the eCommerce teams and trading teams and therefore it is important that candidates are able to demonstrate the following;
A customer-centric approach to online retailingAn ability to work cross-functionallyAn understanding and passion of the grocery marketStrong communication skillsA results-driven focusStrong organisation with an ability to manage multiple priorities concurrentlyHigh level of attention to detailExcellent Excel SkillsAbility to interpret commercial performance and present back to stakeholdersExperience of Web Analytics tools
