Buying Assistant – Outdoor Living
Based at Asda House in Leeds
About the role:
Getting the details right can have a surprisingly big impact, as you’ll soon realise when you join our team. In this incredibly fast moving and ever changing environment, you’ll discover exactly how much the little things matter. From daily sales and profit reports, to admin support and marketing – getting everything accurate is hugely important. And doing it as efficiently as possible will bring savings to our customers as well as to our business.
High attention to detail is required with a tenacious and ambitions attitude. This position would be suitable for a candidate who would like to develop their career & be a Buyer in the future!
The ins & outs:
Supporting the Buyer in all areas, including sales tracking and analysisKeeping the admin up to date, including line listing, cost and retail changes, linksave set up and analysisLiaising with suppliers to ensure that they keep to deadlines and tasksInputting into decisions on ranges and promotionsAnswering and resolving store/supplier queriesMaintenance of pricing instore & onlineRaising and reconciling of internal and external invoices to the categoryAssisting the Buyer with competitor research and the day to day trading of your category
What you’ll need:
Be a well-motivated self-starterBe able to work alone or as part of a teamHave great attention to detailHave good IT skills, particularly ExcelHave a good level of numeracy skills, and be able to analyse complex dataBrilliant time-management, organisation and communication skills Passion for the customer
