What is the main purpose of the role?
The Meetings & Events Executive (Enquiries) will help to contribute to the growth of the Meeting & Events business, maximising occupancy and revenue, through proactive handling of inbound event enquiries.
You will input event bookings into the property management system, Opera and send out proposals to clients.
You will also support in hosting familiarisation trips at the venue to Sales colleagues and agents to promote the hotel and group.
Please note that this role is available on a part-time basis of 30 hours per week with a start date from January 2019.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous hospitality or conference & events sales experience within a similar role would be desirable, however would also consider applicants with previous customer service or sales experience.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills with the ability to develop effective relationships.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be highly organised with an eye for detail and you’ll thrive working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
