Do you have a passion for all people in our coastal community to learn to swim, young and old? Here at Wave we are the main provider of the Swim England Learn To Swim programme in the Lewes District and we’re looking for new Swimming Teachers.

Requirements

We’re looking for those with a passion for teaching and providing exceptional service. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work flexibly and with a high level of autonomy is essential. An ASA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Aquatics and experience of teaching in a similar environment is required.

You will have well developed interpersonal skills, able to work confidently with both adults and children. You will ensure your knowledge is kept up to date by following CPDs.

You must be highly organised and able to assist the Aquatics Coordinator and Area Manager in ensuring Wave meets goals set for swimming across the business.

Responsibilities

You will plan and run courses and both group and private lessons and plan your time around holidays and other events likely to disrupt lessons.

You will help to plan and run new initiatives, promotional activities, special galas, swimming lesson parties and water safety courses

Swimming Teachers will assess learners’ progress and recommend when they are ready to advance through classes, liaising and feeding back with parents and guardians where required.
