We are currently recruiting for Trainee Buyers / Junior Buyers to join our Premium Womenswear Buying teams

This position will require regular travel between all 2 offices to fulfil all aspects of the role.

Key Aspects of the role include:

  • Set up new supplier account details ensuring all suppliers are aware of and understand requirements for product standards, labeling, deliveries; communicating effectively on any product issues.
  • Complete regular store visits nationwide to monitor and address merchandising or layout guideline issues that may arise.
  • Work in conjunction with the Retail team and department Buyer to develop merchandise guidelines for the forthcoming season and new product development.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking of competitor ranges, completing quarterly reviews, seeking missed opportunities and ideas where appropriate.
  • Work in conjunction with QA and department Buyer ensuring products meet preset criteria, understanding the impact on any decisions made with QA department.

Essential Skills / Experience:

  • Commercially focused.
  • Graduate with a fashion or textile related degree at 2:1 or above.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Influencing and Negotiating skills
  • Flexible, collaborative approach to work.

Must be willing to travel at short notice where possible.

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • Strong judgement and decision making skills
  • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A real passion, knowledge and understanding of premium womenswear
  • Have a proven ability to problem solve in a productive and efficient manner.
  • Extremely well-organised and methodical with a good level of common sense and initiative.
  • Flexible, collaborative approach to work.
