Supply Chain Analyst - MI & BI Support
Management Information & Business Intelligence team

About the role:

The MI and BI team is an integral part of the supply support team based in ASDA House. The team's objective is to provide management information and intelligence for circa 300 colleagues within the supply chain function, to help them manage the way we flow stock to stores. The daily output of the MI BI teams work is used predominately by supply colleagues to enable them to make business decisions based upon factual and timely information. There are other reports which go wider afield and across all levels of the business to help guide tactical or more strategic decisions based upon the latest snap-shots or trends. A data analyst is required to join this team allowing the function to increase its stakeholder engagement and to look more proactively into future requirements. This is a key moment for the MI team, as we are in the midst of rolling out a data server, which will revolutionise the way we work and the dashboards we create and use.

This is an exciting role, and the ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering continuous change to the benefit of the colleagues and the business. It is an ideal role for someone with a data/IT background to work within a fast paced retail business.


The ins and outs:

Work cross functionally, specifically with the technology team to develop and embed the new serverProduce and develop MI/BI together with the existing MI analystsUse key data tools to allow us collate, modify and report data in an appropriate wayRefine and effectively deliver MI requirements in line with the ever changing business needsInternal stakeholder understanding and engagementForm good working relationship at all levels Prioritise and set own goals
What you’ll need:

Required Skills
Strong working knowledge of SQL,Tableau and dashboardsGood knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java Script and AlteryxAbility to remain calm and effective under pressureFlexible approach & likes working as part of a teamEffective communication & influencing skillsStrong numerical and analytical skillsAttention to detailAbility to deliver with paceSupply chain experience

Desirable Skills
Knowledge of tools such as PowerBI Data Zen, Alteryx, Java, Java Script, ASP, .net, MDX, TSQL and VBA, SSRSKnowledge of retail or supply chain
