Head of IT - Luton

This exciting, growing leisure trust is looking for a Head of IT to provide strategic vision, leadership and management for its diverse IT operations and to represent the IT function on the Senior Leadership Team. You’ll need to be able to work across a wide range of different systems and across different sites in Luton to help devise and implement a robust and multi-faceted IT strategy, while keeping a keen eye on budget restraints. The post reports to the Finance & Resources Director and manages a team of four.

Active Luton is looking for a Head of IT. The post reports to the Finance & Resources Director and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and manages a team of four.

The post is responsible for the delivery of Active Luton’s IT strategy and IT services under its control and there is a requirement to work across our different centres in Luton. The role will have a key input to develop the IT strategy and is responsible for the performance management of the IT team and adherence to GDPR.

The role will be the ultimate project manager on IT projects and their delivery with a commitment to continually improve IT processes within the organisation. 

37 hours per week

Salary £40,858 per year plus car benefit £3203 per year

About you

You will need to have substantial knowledge and experience working as an IT manager – preferably with retail or multi-site front of house systems experience. 

You’ll also need to demonstrate substantial knowledge of computer networks, network administration and installation with strong project management skills and experience managing a team.

You’ll need a full understanding of GDPR rules and regulations plus strong financial, analytical, presentation and communication skills.

The role requires the ability to travel to different sites within Luton and, as necessary, outside of Luton for key meetings and to work outside normal working hours as required by the organisation and role.
