Reporting to: Senior Editorial Producer

Department: Chelsea TV

Job Function: Chelsea Football Club requires an established, creative Features Producer to create content across multiple platforms.

Overview: Chelsea TV is the umbrella brand for all video content produced by Chelsea Football Club and is a key contributor to the communications, fan engagement, marketing and commercial media strategies. The in-house content and production department create and publish video across multiple channels

Digital Publisher: Original video content for chelseafc.com and all social media channels

Broadcaster: Sky channel 421, multiple international broadcast partners and a live stream via chelseafc.com. Live programming includes over 50 live outside broadcasts, daily live shows and a variety of post-production programming.

Internal Production: Branded Content, Commercial Partners, Marketing Campaigns and Activations, Club Events, Foundation, Academy and Player support.

Role: To create, organise and produce features and a high standard of content across all platforms. The candidate will have the ability to work independently and manage projects from inception to completion. A role for an experienced innovative producer with unique creative flair prepared to create compelling and original content while collaborating within a team environment. This role will require flexible working hours including weekends, location work and a split between Stamford Bridge and Cobham training ground during the week.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Regularly produce features and short films that will sit across Chelsea platforms.
  2. Utilise contacts and experience to recruit shooting and editing resource when necessary.
  3. Consistent strong ideas generation for features.
  4. Create treatments and storyboards to visualise projects from conception.
  5. Oversee and advise on team productions and filming including camera crews and editors.
  6. Work with internal departments on video projects and deliver content to required brief.
  7. Manage and coordinate projects clearly and constructively.
  8. Collaborate with motion graphics team when required.

Person Specification:

  1. Strong features producer confident with everything from short form to high-end, large budget briefs.
  2. Passionate about innovative approaches to video creation.
  3. Extensive, demonstrable experience in production, preferably with sports examples.
  4. Excellent organisational skills with robust attention to detail.
  5. Good communication and inter-personal skills
  6. Flexible and pro-active approach; with ability to adapt ways of working accordingly
  7. Ability to self-motivate and work effectively with minimal direct supervision
  8. Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to collaborate and share information

Measures of Performance:

  1. Regular idea generation and examples for content across all platforms
  2. Production of high quality short and long form content for use across all platforms.
  3. Meets deadlines as necessary for content production and publishing time frames
  4. Meeting high production standards and quality of output set by management
  5. Consistent delivery of strong features working from a set video strategy.
  6. Meeting KPIs as outlined in the video strategy
