In 1978 we shut out the world and made beer. At that time, no one was risking it all starting a traditional brewery, making simple, premium, easy-drinking ale. To do so was an act of defiance. Or madness. Fast forward to today and we’re holding fast to our values and heading off on another exciting journey.  This time we’re defying convention by significantly expanding and investing in our diverse and distinctive collection of pubs and inns, with everything from bustling high-street pubs, cosy country inns and beautiful boutique hotels across the south and west of England.

The Methuen Arms is situated next to the stately home and grounds of Corsham Court. This historic pub with rooms dates as far back as the 15^th century and is a beautiful getaway in the heart of West Wiltshire. All rooms are en-suite, successfully marrying comfort with country style as well as a touch of luxury. Leigh Evans and his kitchen team are dedicated to finding the best local produce, serving up great food combinations and taste driven dishes from local suppliers and our own kitchen garden.

As a Butcombe Commis Chef/Apprentice Chef, you’ll be an integral part of your kitchen and working closely with your team in delivering one of the best food offers around; all with aim of creating an unrivalled guest experience. It’s the best job in the business.
