Port Operations Lead FTC - Shore Based - Southampton

With more than 30,000 people working across our organisation, our people are our world. Join our Port Operations & Services department as a Home Port Operations Lead and you’ll go far too. We are looking for someone to effectively plan and manage passenger turnarounds, associated transfer and check-in arrangements for P&O Cruises and Cunard vessels worldwide and at our home port of Southampton.

The main responsibilities of this role includes supervising and managing pier, check-in and transfer arrangements for Carnival vessels, including official clearances and liaising with UK Border Force, ships husbandry requirements, coroner liaison, crew arrangements and supervising storing and baggage movement. Our search is for someone who can liaise directly with our internal Flights and Customer Service departments to ensure satisfactory service levels are achieved in connection with Fly-Cruise activity. In addition the successful candidate will prepare budget projections for each Round World Cruise and Fly-Cruise turnaround, as well as reconcile costs for each turnaround against budget and approve invoices justifying differentials as and when required.

As part of the Home Port Operations team you’ll need to have a degree of flexibility as the role regularly requires long working days, which can often be at weekends and public holidays. On occasions you may be required to visit vessels outside of the UK and you should be prepared to undertake other duties associated with the wider work of the department. In order to be successful in this role you will be able to manage priorities, timescales and output standards as well as demonstrating strong customer service skills.
