RESPONSIBLE TO: General Manager   

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE: To ensure the Clubs Racquets provision is World Class, and is enjoyed by and meets the needs of all members.

Job description

Key responsibilities:

• To manage the Club’s Racquet department inclusive of the Head Tennis Pro, Head Squash Pro, Head Groundsman, and Racquets Administrator.
• To manage all aspects of the Club’s adult and junior tennis & squash programmes
• To work with the Club’s tennis and squash committees and captains
• To be the Club main LTA and Surrey Tennis contact
• To oversee LTA and ITF open tournaments held at the Club
• To manage the Racquets department budgets
• To ultimately organise, manage and deliver an exceptional racquets programme to the satisfaction of the Club’s Board executive and membership

Person specification

The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive knowledge of all aspects of tennis, and, ideally, squash. He or she must have proven managerial experience and a solid understanding of the nature of Members’ clubs. Organisational and communication skills of the highest standard are required to fulfil this role. We are looking for an individual with exceptional customer service skills and personality to match.
