Lead Athletics Coach - Brentwood, Essex Academies of Sport offer elite sports coaching in cutting-edge skills and strategies to young sportsmen and women, aged 9-15yrs, during the school holidays. We are looking for inspiring, enthusiastic and qualified coaches to lead in the delivery of our 2 - 4 day athletics academies throughout the school holidays. Responsibilities Lead Athletics Coaches will be required to: Be responsible for ensuring the coaching programme is delivered to a high standard Manage a small team of coaches to help deliver energetic athletics sessions (track and field) Liaise with parents when dropping off and picking up athletes, providing feedback where appropriate Develop and progress coaching sessions for the various ages and abilities Provide challenging content in a safe learning environment Analyse performance and suggest areas of improvement Show energy, a positive attitude and enthusiasm Have excellent knowledge in all aspects of your sport (technical, tactical, physical and mental) Requirements Ideally hold a minimum UKA Coach qualification or equivalent (minimum Level 2) Ideally experienced at national level, either competing or coaching Ideally first aid qualified Experience coaching younger athletes and dealing with parents Skilled to deliver excellent structured coaching sessions where all children are learning, developing, being stretched, challenged and having fun Excellent communication skills Approachable, patient, and above all, passionate about athletics!
