Working with Design Research Studio under the creative direction of renowned British designer Tom Dixon, the hotel captures the essence of the original building, exuding 1920s cruise ship glamour integrated with the modern twists and sophisticated design for which the Mondrian brand is known. 

Guests will immediately be drawn to the giant, copper clad wall inspired by the hull of a ship, running from outside the building, through to the lobby and on to the river side of the hotel. Experience underwater tranquillity and specialised treatments at agua Bathhouse & Spa, sample delicious food using locally sourced ingredients at Sea Containers restaurant, where outdoor seating along the river walk is also available, and sample innovative cocktails from Mr Lyan atDandelyanwith its iconic green marble bar and dramatic views of the Thames. 

The most glamorous of spaces is our rooftop bar, Rumpus Room, with its glass box structure and outdoor terrace, featuring panoramic views over London. Uniquely reflecting the urban feel of the Southbank neighbourhood, Mondrian London is within walking distance of landmarks such as Tate Modern, Royal Festival Hall, the National and Globe theatres, as well as Borough Market and the London Eye.

We are looking for an inspirational, guest focused Bell Team Member who is passionate about delivering exception dynamic guest experience. You will be responsible for supervising and co-ordination of all Front Office related duties and to participate in the clerical duties connected with arriving, departing and in-house guests. Working times are from 11PM to 7AM. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that there is always a bellman by the main entrance to open the door for guests.
• Greet arriving guests, open car doors and relieve their luggage.
• Escort the guests to their rooms, explaining the room facilities and sell the hotel’s F&B outlets and the SPA.
• Deliver messages, faxes, packages etc. for guests and to undertake any other requests in order to ensure their comfort.
• Transport departing guests’ luggage from the room to the lobby, then into a car or a taxi, ensuring that the guest has verified that all luggage has been accounted for.
• Ensure that luggage has been stored safely according to prescribed procedures.
• Deliver luggage to guest rooms as desired.
• Ensure that the luggage room is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Sweep the steps and the pavement outside the main entrance on a regular basis.
• Run errands for guests as and when required.
• Hail taxis from the street for hotel guests.
• Be fully aware of what functions are going on in the hotel.

Experience required

• Good guest interaction skills.
• Previous experience in a high volume environment
• Previous experience in a 5* or boutique lifestyle environment
• Sound decision making.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Previous high volume hotel experience is preferable
• Drivers License required
