    Support the delivery of the pub food and beverage strategy in order to achieve budgeted commercial returns. Drive and lead consistent standards and profit performance through effective selection of resource, inspiration and development of pub teams inline with your Pub Manager. This role is about driving quality and value that ensures great guest pub experiences, by being obsessed about standards and hospitality, then leading and challenging team members to achieve the highest levels of service.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    Commercial

    Support the Achievement of the budgeted revenue target

    Support the Achievement of the beverage gross profit

    Support the Achievement of the budgeted payroll percentages

    Support the Achievement of the budgeted EBITDA

    Support the Achievement of the 1000 unique clean data entries per annum

    Brand

    Support the Achievement of the targeted guest rate / revinate / mystery guest results for;

    Bar overall satisfaction. Bar dining overall satisfaction.

    People Engagement:

    Support in creating an engaged team through development opportunities, reward & recognition and a culture of team work and support.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Strategy Support, lead and communicate the strategy and create buy in with pub team members. Monitor progress on the delivery of the strategy operationally and also through the P&L. Brand Delivery Ensure brand standards are delivered consistently and support the Restaurant Manager in driving this. Deliver pre shift briefings in the absence of the Public House Manager promote selling, product knowledge and great hospitality. Create an intensity around excellence and service that drives performance of the Public House Team Members. Product Knowledge Use briefings to reinforce product knowledge. Know what drinks provide most GP Support your Public House Manager by ensuring a culture of passion for food and beverage knowledge. Conduct and support with the delivery of product training on a regular basis. Sales & Marketing Support & run localised outreach plan. Be the social medial champion and develop a robust calendar of social media activity. Support the achievement of top 10 ranking on Trip Advisor for your local area. Support your Public House by engaging with the sales teams to ensure best use of all familiarisation trips

     

    People Development

     Share experience and personal passion to lead and embed a strong development culture and training and development is consistently high priority.

    Support your Pub Manager in the recruitment of team members who embody the role model descriptions of the high performance behaviours. Using the KPIs, benchmark individual team members performance in terms of sales, and through our online appraisal system review their performance against the five high performance behaviours. Commercial Review wage cost and ensure staffing levels are at the appropriate levels to drive conversion, utilising tools such as Rota Horizon. Ensure stock is replenished and kept to the correct par levels are in line with specification. Ensure all relevant stock control procedures and best practice procedures are in place and conduct whilst you are on shift e.g. members of staff only with correct level authorisation conduct voids, refunds and ‘no sales’.  Team Liaison Work effectively with other departments within the hotel Comply with the Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures as specified by the CMI and internal audits and achieve a minimum of 85%.  Role model the five high performance behaviours. Work effectively as part of the Duty Management Team
