Housekeeping Assistant - The Bower Inn, Bridgwater

In 1978 we shut out the world and made beer. At that time, no one was risking it all starting a traditional brewery, making simple, premium, easy-drinking ale. To do so was an act of defiance. Or madness. Fast forward to today and we’re holding fast to our values and heading off on another exciting journey.  This time we’re defying convention by significantly expanding and investing in our diverse and distinctive collection of pubs and inns, with everything from bustling high-street pubs, cosy country inns and beautiful boutique hotels across the south and west of England.

The Bower Inn is a beautiful country Inn on the outskirts of Bridgwater. Offering 16 individual en-suite rooms, a 42 seater restaurant, Garden Room which doubles as a second restaurant or function room and marquee which can hold up to 180 people. We are a close knit team who work together to produce an enjoyable experience for our customers. The kitchen team product all dishes to order using local fresh ingredients  that is delivered daily, and we serve some great local beers and ciders to match.

As a Butcombe Housekeeping Assistant you’ll style our rooms with an eye for detail and a passion for cleaning. You will be expected to work in a team to ensure the rooms and general areas of the business are ready on time, to our standards and greeting our guests with a smile and warm welcome as they pass you in the corridors. Housekeeping Assistants have just as much interaction with our guests as any other team member – so must be passionate about hospitality and delivering amazing service to our guests with a smile and stacks of personality.

You will:

  • have an eye for detail and take pride in presenting a beautiful room to guests.
  • be a keen timekeeper and able to turn rooms around quickly.
  • have some experience in a similar role but we will be happy to speak to you even if you have no experience at all.
  • Have an opportunity to develop a career with us through structured training and development.
