Whether it’s the best gear, the best classes or info about what’s happening on and off the mountain, you have to be clued up and ready to share it. Your aim is to make life simple for your guests, get their tickets out for the day quickly and ensure they get maximum exposure to the slopes. It’s one big team, so teamwork and a fun and friendly attitude is definitely required.

There’s a good mix of working holiday job roles available within each resort.
Some of the more skilled positions will need experience, or sometimes qualifications, when applying - whilst for others no direct experience is necessary.
The standard hourly rate for our gap year positions is NZ$15 per hour, although for skilled positions, i.e. Ski Patrollers and Chefs, you’ll be paid more.
Requirements for a Kiwi and Kiwi Winter -
- Interest in working in hospitality sector
- Flexibility with location in New Zealand and open to a variety of roles
- At least 6 months work availability
- Willing to travel to NZ between May 1st - Mid June.
If you’ve an eye for numbers and know your way round a till this job is for you. Collecting payment for good and services, handling cash and card transactions, balancing the books and stock each day and offering excellent customer service are all part of your day job. Cashiers could be working in a range of departments including ticket sales, food and beverages and the gift shop.
