Catering and Hospitality Specialist - Nationwide Opportunity

RAF Catering and Hospitality Specialists are silver service trained personnel who run dining rooms, Mess bars and are responsible for in-flight meals and passenger safety.

Our caterers are trained for 10 weeks on the Basic Recruit Training Course at RAF Halton in Buckinghamshire, followed by a 13-week specialist training course to be completed at our Food Services Wing at Worthy Down in Hampshire.

Both courses equip our catering specialists with the skills they need for their first tour, where they will be posted to an Officers' or Sergeants' Mess on an RAF base.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Serving food and drinks to top hotel and club standards
  • Organising VIP functions as part of a wider team
  • In-flight hospitality

As your career progresses, you will have the opportunity to be trained in new skills, including management and leadership. Subsequently when selected to be Cabin Crew, you will be trained in aircraft safety procedures, cabin service and in-flight catering.

Initial pay after training - £18,489 + benefits which include free medical and dental care, subsidised accommodation, sports and adventurous training opportunities and six weeks' of paid holiday each year.

No formal qualifications are required but you must be aged between 16-35.

Please apply below where you will be able to find out more about being an RAF Caterer and apply for the role online.
