    We are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join the Employee Relations team. As a HR Advisor you will provide support and advice to deliver an effective employee relations and HR service to Regional Operations, Area Managers, General Managers, and Team Members working within our managed house estate within our pubs, bars and restaurants. You will look to add value to business through effective delivery of project work and ensuring HR best practice is implemented within a Shared Service environment.

    For this role you will be required to travel nationally to provide support to our pub teams. You will be required to travel to and work from Marston's House in Wolverhampton at least twice a week. You will be provided a car allowance to support you in your role.

    Could you?
    • Deliver support, advice and guidance on a wide range of areas including investigations, discipline and grievance hearings, TUPE, sickness and policy to ensure good employee relations are maintained and Company protocol is adhered to
    • Guide and coach Senior Operations Managers and their teams
    • Provide updates on UK employment legislation or changes to HR practices through bespoke training sessions
    • Effectively manage short and long term sickness absence 
    • Take full case management ownership for tribunals on your region(s)
    • Develop policies to ensure they are up to date and consistent policies are continually operated across the business
    • Undertake project work on both an individual and group basis to research, debate and implement new policy, and deliver training initiatives within your areas of responsibility  
    • Run employment law courses for General & Deputy Managers and write/deliver bespoke training where needed
    • Meet individual HR objectives to deliver business goals

    Are you?

    • An experienced HR Officer / Advisor (or equivalent) who has worked within a multi-site depot/retail environment
    • A graduate or of graduate calibre (or equivalent) qualification with or working towards CIPD
    • Someone with a good working knowledge of current employment legislation
    • Highly organised, flexible in approach and able to deal with an unpredictable workload  
    • An excellent verbal and written communicator
    • Confident and influential, with the ability to get things done
    • Looking to thrive in a role that demands a positive attitude, flexibility in approach and a real determination to succeed
    • Able to travel throughout our estate with occasional nights away involved given the nature and geographical spread of our business
