£17,326 to £18,777 per annum, pro rata

The University of Winchester is looking to employ Sports Stadium Assistants to work within The  Winchester Sports Stadium. Opened in 2008 and situated at Bar End, the University Sports Stadium is home to an 8-lane Athletics track including areas to complete pole vault, shot put, javelin, high jump, long jump, triple jump, discus and hammer throws. It also has a Tiger Turf surface All Weather Pitch, which offers a full size hockey or Football pitch or 3 5aside football pitches. The stadium pavilion houses a Café area, 2 teaching rooms, 4 changing rooms, 2 umpire changing rooms and toilet facilities. The stadium hosts large events and athletics competitions throughout the year.

The Stadium Assistants will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of the stadium and its facilities, ensuring that all bookings run on time, the equipment is set up, safe and ready for use and that the users have access to a safe environment to train and compete. The assistants will be on hand to sell any refreshments or snacks and offer any first aid assistance as required.
