The Role Product Manager Tesco Labs

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the roles key responsibilities and measures:

  • Help to shape, define and prioritize our innovation prototype backlog.
  • Lead product design sprints and collaborate with designers, engineers and researchers to achieve validating learning through creating prototypes and running experiments.
  • Validate new ideas through analyzing evidence and data and carrying out primary research.
  • Evangelize the product design process: champion a brilliant customer experience, and contribute to product design and UX standards to be adopted across the team.
  • Monitor and understand the potential of new technologies and business models, identifying and developing new opportunities for Tesco.
  • Develop the route of insight in to the team, working to nurture a problem & insight driven culture.
  • Build relationships across the business to support the work that Labs does and share learning and outcomes.
  • This role will best suit an individual who enjoys working as part of a team, is well organised, pragmatic and a lateral thinker with an inquisitive mind who is motivated to make change for the better and, most importantly, puts our customers first.

Youll need to have demonstrated experience of:

  • Solid technical understanding and comfortable having technical conversations. Understands the possibilities of online technologies and knows when to challenge and ask questions.
  • Able to demonstrate exposure to and experience of core development skills information architecture, user journeys, wireframe design, testing and design briefs.
  • Bachelors degree or demonstrable experience required. Advanced degree a plus.
