They’ll listen to your recommendations too, so there’s always an opportunity to add value to their experience and make sure they have everything they need.

Delivering warm and friendly service along with well-informed advice

Checking the display from the customer’s point of view – do the products look fresh? Is the counter clean and tidy? Is everything properly labelled?

Replenishing the counter little and often, avoiding overstocking

Working safely – keeping the area safe for yourself, your colleagues and customers

Paying particular attention to cleanliness – clothes, hands, equipment, work areas

Being alert to customer needs, pointing out promotions and even suggesting recipe ideas!
