QA Inspector – Quality Inspector –Lutterworth Depot

About the role:

Working collaboratively to drive Asda’s quality standards, ensuring our fresh food offer reaches the customer in the optimum condition. By doing so we work towards the business objective of being Britain’s Most Trusted Retailer and supporting wider initiatives under the Quality You Can Trust pledge. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to join the team at Bedford Deport. The role reports into the Quality Manager.

The ins & outs:

Targeted inspections of Own Brand Fresh Food products on arrival at CDC against Asda’s specifications as agreed with suppliers
Conduct consistency panels on Own Brand Products
Actively engage in QMG (Quality management group) by providing timely and accurate reports to all relevant parties including inspections, shelf life tests and consistency panels
Being an active part of a QMG category conducting appropriate supplier visits to using the following criteria - Root cause Analysis of repeat quality issues, and agree corrective actions
Inspect finished products positively release product before despatch to CDC, when applicable
Work with QMG to enable suppliers to identify solutions that prevent ongoing/recurring issues
With collaborative working review and resolve specification compliance issues, hi-lighting actionable recommendations to relevant stakeholders
Deliver innovative projects that improve Fresh Food offer
Ensure ALS colleagues adhere to all aspects of the Distribution Charter that affect fresh food quality
Deliver Fresh Food Quality training sessions to Store, ALS & HSH colleagues
Provide quality updates and coaching to ALS colleagues
