Night Manager

Old Thorns is a luxury four-star resort in Hampshire.  The hotel is easily accessible from the A3, and only 30 minutes from the M25 and Portsmouth. With recent redevelopment and expansion, Old Thorns offers luxury accommodation, conference & function facilities, health club, beauty spa, restaurants & bars and a championship golf course. 

We are seeking a Night Manager to join our Front of House Team to manage the night operation of the Hotel. 

Main Responsibilities:  

• Manage the Reception desk throughout the night shift
• Ensure our guests receive the highest standards of service
• Ensuring that safety and security checks are undertaken and carry out Reception and Night Audit duties
• Manage Night Porters and allocate duties
• Ensure that function rooms are appropriately set up for the following day and that public areas are clean and maintained to high standards

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Strong leadership skills and confidence to be able to develop and motivate a small team
• Be confident, with good customer service skills and attention to detail 
• Be able to work well under pressure and prioritise 
• A real drive to deliver outstanding service and exceptional customer care
• Efficient IT skills and ideally have a good knowledge of Opera or Reslink or similar System and be able to utilise this to its full advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a friendly but professional manner

This is a full time position working 5 nights out of 7 on a rota basis.
