About the role:

The Digital Analytics team supports the George.com business in its decision making, by providing data, actionable insight, and recommendations which help understand visitor behaviour, quantify commercial opportunities and mitigate risk.

Our aim is to better understand and predict customer behaviour, to make recommendations to improve their experiences and subsequently, to gain their trust, loyalty and spend.

The ins and outs:

•Strong proficiency with Adobe Analytics, particularly Workspace
•Passion for and strong proficiency (with creativity) in data investigation, interrogation, analysis and filtration of insight
•Provides and delivers recommendations to improve customer experience, site performance, conversion and sales
•Understand product owner’s needs to translate business requirements into analytics technical requirements
•Supports the prioritisation of the development roadmap with business case analyses
•Work with the Optimisation Manager to implement tagging and tracking required for A/B testing measurement
•Custodian of the George.com customer, specifically on site behaviour
•Develops our analytical capability and delivers commercially valuable insight to the business Ability to understand the customer and the commercial impact of complex scenarios
•Collates and processes data in a user friendly format to enable analysis and drive actionable insight
•Challenges current knowledge and understanding with new ideas and suggestions to drive improvements
•Works cross functionality and cross border, including with the Global eCommerce Team and Grocery Analytics Team to maintain and improve our analytics capability
•Ability to train and support analytical reporting to key stakeholders
•Ensures all stakeholders are kept informed of backlog tasks, priorities and project updates
•Ability to create data and customer segments within Adobe Analytics
•Follow data collection standardisation and governance processes
•Explain data collection methodologies to the internal data users
•Delivers support and guidance in the insight surgery
•Monitors and audits our onsite tags and responsible for the integrity of the collected data
•Manages relationships with 3rd party partners
•Awareness of the competitive online marketplace and ability to spot opportunities
