About the role:

The Asda Insights Team and Marketing Effectiveness Team here at Asda take responsibility for delivering world class campaign analysis and insight to allow us to optimise our marketing.
As Marketing Effectiveness Analyst you will support the business in understanding and quantifying the impact of our marketing activity by evaluating post campaign data and marketing spend in store, Grocery Home Shopping, George.com and across a variety of other data sources.

The Ins and Outs:

You will analyse and evaluate an array of sales, customer and market data to make insight – led recommendations to the business. The specifics of the role include:
•Proficiently interpreting data to make powerful commercial insights about marketing effectiveness
•Presenting results, clearly and persuasively with the ability to bring to life information and insights in reports and verbal presentations
•Optimising data available through a continuous quest to improve outputs for stakeholders and customers
•Working closely with the marketing and trading teams to identify opportunities for testing and optimising Asda Marketing spend
•Understanding of marketing modelling and how it is used in digital and advertising channels

What you’ll need:

Ideally, you will have experience within a similar analytical or statistical focused role or relevant degree with the ability to understand and interpret data and statistical techniques. You may also possess:
•High attention to detail and accuracy
•Capability to draw together and interrogate data from numerous sources to drive actionable insight
•Experience in a similar evaluation role is desirable, although not essential as long as you are a mathematical thinker
•Ability to liaise with stakeholders and communicate at all levels
•Understanding of marketing concepts
•Knowledge of statistical techniques such as attribution or econometric modelling
•Experience with digital marketing metrics
•Ability to format and present data
•A high level of statistical or applied mathematical skill
•Strong numerical and analytical background, ability to synthesis information from a variety of sources and deliver real insight from data
•Exposure to marketing teams & channels
