With 54 weekly payrolls, 54 monthly and an expanding portfolio, Britannia Hotels are currently looking for a dedicated administrator to add to its Payroll Team. Initially, you will be responsible for the processing of weekly payrolls. In addition, you should be deadline driven and organised.

The Payroll Administrator will be required to provide a high standard of service and deliver a right-first-time, every-time approach to service delivery. Ensuring that our employees are paid accurately and on time.

Examples of your day to day responsibilities would include but are not restricted to;

  • Importing payroll information into payroll software
  • Processing of new starters and leavers
  • Ensuring comprehensive payroll records are kept, both paper and electronic
  • Completion of checkers checklist
  • Sending e-slips to employees
  • Preparation of BACS file
  • Capable of manual calculations of statutory payments & deductions
  • Processing of HMRC payroll forms
  • Compliance with company procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations
  • Pensions administration
  • Processing of RTI
  • Liaising with hotels
  • Dealing with employee queries
  • Prioritisation of own workload on a day to day basis
  • Keeping up to date with legislative changes

 Person Specification

  • Payroll experience is preferred or equivalent qualification
  • Have proven numeric skills
  • A strong emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Ability to multi-task and to co-ordinate a series of different jobs concurrently
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Good level of IT literacy; familiarity with databases and current software packages
  • Competent oral and written communication skills, with ability to evaluate queries and advise in our hotels in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to build relationships with the hotels and colleagues
