Senior Doctor - Fleet - Ship Based

As a Senior Doctor on board a CUK cruise ship you will be required to provide medical expertise, in addition to maintaining the safe and efficient operation of our medical centres for our guests and crew. You will manage and develop the Medical Team to ensure excellent customer service is provided.

In-patient care on board encompasses the management of a wide variety of clinical problems including acute cardiac syndrome (thrombolysis and cardiac monitoring), trauma/orthopaedic problems and other acute medical emergencies.

To be considered for this role you must hold the following:

  • Previous experience working on board a cruise ship as a Senior Doctor
  • Fully qualified doctor with current registration within the United Kingdom GMC or appropriate Governmental regulatory body
  • 5 Years Post FY1exerinee required
  • A broad range of experience in acute care areas including Anaesthetics
  • Proven proficiency in a wide range of clinical skills, including care and assessment of acutely ill patients and management of minor injuries and medical conditions
  • An A&E background with a minimum of a 12 months experience within the last 5 years  
  • Hold the ability to work independently and effectively within a small team
  • Keen ability to proactively lead, manage and encourage a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and make key decisions with minimal support
  • Be ambitious, passionate and dedicated to delivering a quality service to our valued passengers and crew
  • Understand of the importance of our CUK safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Ensure clear professional boundaries are maintained when caring for children
  • Valid Advanced Life Support qualification or equivalent
  • Valid Advanced Trauma Life Support provider qualification or equivalent
  • Valid Advanced Paediatric Life Support provider qualification or equivalent
