Head Spa Therapist

Old Thorns is a luxury four-star resort in Hampshire. The hotel is easily accessible from the A3, and only 30 minutes from the M25 and Portsmouth. Old Thorns offers luxury accommodation, conference & function facilities, health club, beauty spa, restaurants & bars and a championship golf course.

We are recruiting a qualified Head Spa Therapist to join our Spa team in providing a range of high quality treatments. The Spa at Old Thorns specialises in Germaine de Capuccini face and body treatments, OPI manicures, pedicures and gel polish, Sienna X spray tan, eyelash extensions plus waxing and tinting treatments

Head Therapist responsibilities:

• Promote and drive an exceptional guest experience, ensuring that all treatments are delivered as per the brand standard by arranging and facilitating regular training sessions, appraisals and trade tests.
• Promote a professional appearance and experience for all visitors, resulting in PR both internally and externally of the Spa team
• Ensure any guest comments / complaints are dealt with efficiently and effectively and remedial action is taken as required.
• Ensure you and your team are up to date with what’s going on around the hotel by attending daily and weekly meetings and keeping up to date with function sheets
• Maximising sales opportunities through upselling, cross-selling and achieving add-on sales
• Be present during peak times and provide focal point for our guests
• Carrying out a range of treatments to a high standard.
• Achieve consistently high retail targets and incentivise team accordingly.
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are in place and the team are competent and trained.
• Control costs through correct stock ordering and minimising wastage, forecasting and managing work load

Knowledge/Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• The ability to lead and motivate a team
• Hold a recognised beauty or spa qualification, minimum NVQ 3 or equivalent
• Smart personal presentation
• Good interpersonal skills with a polite, friendly and approachable manner
• Passionate about delivering the highest standards of customer care
