Harrow School employs around 700 people in a variety of teaching and support roles, many of whom work for us all year round.

Our talented support teams facilitate excellence across all aspects of the School. The Catering team serve up to 3,000 meals each day, while the Estates department look after over 200 properties and 300 acres of land including a farm and a golf course. From accounts and admissions, through to the Sports Centre and Vaughan Library, the support departments at Harrow are specialist, diverse and crucial to the School’s success, making up the bulk of our workforce.

Harrow School is set within 324 acres of beautiful grounds that comprise six conservation areas, a registered park, a nine-hole golf course and even a working farm. Coupled with its buildings of special architectural and historic interest, the School has the quality of a village.

The School operates rather like a small village, with the full array of services being provided by a wide range of staff. The School community prides itself on being supportive, with everyone playing their part and working to ensure that the boys can study and develop in a safe, engaging and nurturing environment. A 2016–17 School-wide wellbeing survey confirmed that 84% of employees would recommend the School as an employer and 96% feel that they contribute positively to the success of the School.

Benefits include free lunches for full-time staff, automatic enrolment in the School’s pension scheme, use of the School’s sports facilities and subsidised membership of the tennis, golf, angling and social clubs. Free access to the Vaughan Library and school events along with a 10% discount in the School's Hill Shop are some of the many benefits we offer.
