Job Details

Passionate about helping people to improve their health, you'll bring all your enthusiasm and expertise to this important Programme Manager role at our Fitness and Wellbeing Club.

We value expertise at Nuffield Health. Our combination of expert knowledge, innovative thinking and passion for care has enabled us to become Britain's largest not for profit healthcare provider. It has also helped us build a unique network delivering connected healthcare - from hospitals, clinics and medical centres, to Fitness and Wellbeing Clubs, to specialist services including physiotherapy. Here, you'll enjoy more time and greater scope to do what you love. What's more, our ambitious plans for change and growth include plenty of support for your professional development. Because we re-invest every penny in our services and people.

Reporting to the Group Programme Director, as Programme Manager you'll be sole manager of this fitness facility. Your role is about delivering exceptional customer service, whether motivating members, giving personal training, teaching circuit-based classes or administering payments. It involves supervising the fitness floor, offering help and support with exercise programmes and techniques, and giving advice on training and lifestyle.
Crucially, you will make sure the team maintains clinical standards when delivering our unique Health MOT service, which assesses individual health and fitness levels and sets empowering, achievable goals for change. Managing a team of dedicated advisors, your responsibilities will range from the Club's budget, to Profit & Loss, to recruitment. You will also manage our accounts with corporate clients - attending meetings, developing relationships and ensuring their needs are met.

A qualified fitness instructor, you hold a Premier/Lifetime Diploma or equivalent. Ideally, you'll also have a sports science degree or HND. You'll certainly have a strong fitness background, with experience of working in a corporate or commercial fitness environment. You'll need to be a competent computer user with excellent written and oral communication skills. Driven and passionate about all aspects of fitness and wellbeing, you'll bring to your role an enthusiastic and flexible approach, with lots of initiative and a good eye for detail.

Like us, you put people first. You take the time to understand each individual client's needs and how to help them achieve their goals, whether they're recovering from an operation or training for a marathon.

We want you to be the best you can be. So we promise to support you with training, career development and our unique health and wellbeing focused benefits package. This includes free membership of your local Fitness and Wellbeing Club, private healthcare and an annual health assessment, as well as a range of lifestyle and financial wellbeing benefits. We want to help you live well and get the balance right in life, so we'll give you 25 days' holiday in your first years here - and we'll reward you with more annual leave for building your career with us.
