Carnival UK has big plans for the future.  Already the market leader, CUK (which operates the P&O Cruises and Cunard Brands) will grow by 50% by 2022 as we add new ships to the fleet and further transform the industry by making cruising a mainstream holiday for UK guests.

Destination procurement at Carnival UK is a newly formed team who hold responsibility for procuring a number of services such as transportation, ports, accommodation and shore excursions.  Working globally based from Carnival House in Southampton, these categories not only touch our crew and corporate travellers but play  a critical part in ensuring we create unforgettable holiday happiness for our guests!

The role

We are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join this team on a permanent contract.  Joining a team of 5 supportive experts, it is a fantastic opportunity for a pro-active and professional buyer to come aboard at a particularly exciting time!  The team is one of five procurement teams at Carnival UK that sits within the supply chain department.

Our Buyers are responsible for tactical sourcing, negotiation, contracting and purchasing as well as working closely with stakeholders, to ensure quality, service levels, cost and reporting meet our commercial and internal customers’ needs.

About You

You should be passionate about procurement and have first class negotiation and stake holder management skills. You should have gained some experience as a buyer, perhaps this has been at a smaller company and you are now looking to join part of a global organisation.  Alternatively, perhaps you have recently graduated having completed a placement year in Procurement/Buying, looking to kick start your professional career – that experience being gained within the travel industry ideal!

You should have expert Excel/reporting skills, comfortable with change and have a flexible approach.
