Fitness Manager | Basingstoke Aquadrome

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum + Benefits

Location: Basingstoke, RG22 6PG

Basingstoke Aquadrome are recruiting for an experienced Fitness Manager to work full time, 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.

About the role

As the Fitness Manager you will manage a large team of personal trainers and fitness instructors as well as will be responsible for income targets, staff budgets and providing the best customer based service possible for our members

You will uphold the highest standard of cleanliness and customer service in the gym at all times.

Principal Duties

 

 

  • Instruct, create programmes and induct members of the gym safely
  • Carry out Personal Training and achieve any personal training targets set
  • Ensure gym is clean and well maintained at all times
  • Manage financial targets including PT, staffing costs and aerobics cost per head
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies and procedures, e.g. as outlined within SLIMS
  • Maintain a high profile throughout the gym and respond positively to customer needs, expectations and comments
  • Undertake specific tasks as determined by the line manager
  • Undertake regular individual and team briefings, training and appraisals
  • Consistently and actively apply good housekeeping principles, such as turning off lights and equipment when not in use, in order to contribute to our strategy to reduce utility consumption and carbon footprint.
  • Undertake any other duties as required within the Centre as directed by your line manager

 

Qualification Level

 

Fitness Instructors must have a minimum Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification. Level 3 personal training is preferable.

  • Report writing and presentation of written material
