16 Hours per Week

The National Water Sports Centre is just 10 minutes from the city of Nottingham and yet feels a world away. Within the site is a 2km Regatta Lake and a 700m White Water Course which were purpose built for elite athletes to train and compete at the highest level.

 

As the venue for Olympic selection for the Great Britain flat water canoe and kayak teams, as well as national and international events, we pride ourselves on fully understanding the needs of world class athletes in preparation for a major competition. As such we have recently refurbished all of our accommodation and catering facilities to ensure our elite athletes receive the best experience possible while training and competing at The National Water Sports Centre.

 

We are currently recruiting for a part time campsite warden to work 16 hours per week, you will be required to work nights.

 

In the role of Campsite Warden you will be the front line customer service for the public entering the National WaterSports Centres Campsite. This role will entail operating the Campsite in a welcoming and safe manner, ensuring all users adhere to the Campsite Code of Practice and that campsite facilities are kept clean and maintained.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide front line customer service in the Campsite Shop
  • To patrol site
  • To take bookings in person, over the phone and over the web
  • Deal with Cash and PDQ transactions
  • Ensure a continuous availability of customer information
  • Deal with first line customer enquires or complaints
  • Clean customer critical facilities/areas on and around the campsite
  • To follow safe practices, with regard to PPE,COSHH and manual handling
  • To report and defects, health and safety issues
  • To carry out general maintenance tasks including grass cutting
  • Stock taking of campsite shop

 

 

Key skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • Previous experience in communicating with members of the public desirable
  • Good customer care skills
  • Maturity and calmness under pressure
  • A good communicator
  • The ability to handle cash and maintain records
  • A good telephone manner
  • An outgoing and friendly manner
  • High standards of personal presentation
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and organised
