The Holiday Inn London - Kensington is located just off Kensington High Street. It’s a 706 bedroom 4 star hotel with 13 meeting rooms and extensive spa facilities, and we are looking for an Conference & Banqueting Manager to join our busy and professional team. We need someone, who is charismatic, professional and well groomed.

We are looking for an experienced Conference & Banqueting Manager with responsibility for all aspects of the hotel’s busy conference & events business for our exceptional Holiday Inn.

You will also be responsible for the performance and development of the team.

Responsibilities

  • To be able manage all aspects of the C&B department, both in administrative and operational functions. You will be required to deliver outstanding customer service at all times. The ideal candidate will possess excellent training and staff motivation skills.
  • You will assist the F&B Management team to develop sales plan for Food & Beverage.
  • You will also deal with the recruitment, development objectives and appraisal of your team.

Some of the duties will include:

  • You will be hands on with assisting in the preparation of meeting rooms and making sure that all requirements are adhered to.
  • You will be required to work closely with the Conference and Banqueting Sales Team in order to maximise sales opportunities.
  • You will assist the Food and Beverage Department in all promotional projects as well as assist in supervising the department in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • You will be expected to deal with customers in a pro-active and positive manner.
  • You will ensure that health and safety working practices are implemented at all times.
  • You will work closely with the stores and the F&B manager in establishing par stock, stock take control, ordering.

Experience

  • Ideal candidates should have strong experience in a similar position, ideally in a branded full service hotel, and have sound administrative, communication, computing and AV skills.
  • Previous experience in Micros, Opera and Delphi will be a definite advantage.
