HR MANAGER, Stange & Co. Pub Group

£40,000 per annum + employee benefits

After several years of significant investment and growth, we’re now a group of eight cracking quality pub restaurants and the full time equivalent of 250 staff, we have decided the time has come for a HR Manager to bolster and look after our team.

The role would be based out of our office in Parkgate near Chester but will require you to be on the road from time to time visiting our sites in some stunning parts of North and Mid-Wales.

The successful candidate to be something of a generalist combining strategy, operational and legislative work. We would expect you to be very familiar with the latest recruitment methods specifically online and social media, comfortable inducting staff at all levels, have an ability to create policies and procedures to implement across the sites, and identify, design and deliver training to all levels. Managing and reinforcing our culture across all sites will be a big part of the job too.

We would also expect that you will either come from a hospitality background or something similar, where an individual’s personality and people skills are essential and fundamental part of the business, with experience of operating across multiple sites.

You’ll be reporting to the MD and will work closely with our operations manager, but could be recruiting, training and developing at all levels in our sites, so an outgoing personality, with an ability to get on with people from all walks of life is a must.  A passion for pubs and eating out would be an advantage, to understand what our customers would be looking for in their visits to our sites.

Mostly the role is Monday to Friday but at certain times, though not routinely, it will require weekend and evening work. Travelling out to our pubs is going to be part of the job, so you shouldn’t mind driving and a driving licence and car would be essential.

We are looking for someone that can multi-task, with a number of initiatives being worked on at any one time, in a busy fast paced environment. An ability to gauge business needs against UK employment law and find the right route for the business is a must.
