Senior Manager - Finance Projects - Shore Based - Southampton

Carnival UK is embarking on significant business change and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Design & Implementation Lead to play a key role in 2 business change projects. 

 Working extensively with business as usual and project teams, this role will work with stakeholders to shape, drive and implement changes within Finance, initially concentrating on the implementation of a new systems to support the Onboard operations.

Some of the key responsibilities the successful candidate will do are as follows:

  • Create an effective financial design specification and ensure acceptance of the design by stakeholders

  • Influence adoption of effective financial business rules, processes and controls in end-to-end business process

  • Define current and target operating models;

  • Ensure effective financial controls are designed and embedded in end-to-end business processes;

  • Understand and manage dependencies with other Finance & Business change projects;

  • Apply effective change management techniques to the above, including documentation and analysis of business rules and processes, volumetric analysis, investment logic maps, structured and critical thinking;

  • Oversee and manage the financial implementation of a change project, and ensure acceptance of the solution by stakeholders;

  • Adopt effective planning, risk assessment and execution through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring control is maintained throughout;

  • Manage project budgets;

  • Ensure effective communications with stakeholders.

About you

  • Minimum 5 years Finance experience, with experience in a management role
  • Substantial Financial accounting experience, including balance sheet control / reconciliations
  • Large Company experience

Education, Qualifications and Training

  • Qualified Accountant (or equivalent) with several years PQE
  • Educated to degree level
