Operations Manager - Blue Anchor, Somerset

Hoburne Blue Anchor, a 4 star family Holiday Park in Somerset, is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team. 

The role of the Operations Manager is to ensure the Park facilities are operating, maintained and presented to the highest possible standards while continually striving to improve standards and processes to strengthen customer relationships ensuring the successful growth of the Park.

The successful candidate must be flexible, enthusiastic, take pride in their work and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of the team and have a willingness to turn their hand to other tasks when required.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing approved budgets and controlling them accordingly to ensure achievement of profitability target
  • Overseeing and implementing the companies Health & Safety policy and procedures.
  • Managing Park operations to the highest standards through the promotion of a consistently high quality of customer service
  • Implementing a continual property and grounds maintenance programme
  • Promoting the highest level of administrative standards
  • To help promote and develop the Food and beverage department
  • Identifying potential opportunities for Park development and contributing to the formulation, progression, approval and implementation of such plans
  • Creating a people plan to adequately resource the park to effectively service client needs and expectations and to further develop and enhance Park operations.

Requirements:

  • Committed to exemplary customer service
  • Experience within maintenance, grounds, leisure, security or health and safety management preferred, but not essential.
  • Food and beverage understanding
  • Be self-motivated with a strong desire to drive continuous development and improvements
  • Be a great communicator with both to external and internal customers
  • Have a flexible attitude to working hours because this role will include weekends, bank holidays, evenings, etc.
  • Experience in the hospitality/leisure industry is preferable.
