Job Function: Chelsea Football Club requires a sharp, creative Features Producer to create content across multiple platforms.

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent  

Salary: Subject to Experience

Overview: Chelsea TV is the umbrella brand for all video content produced by Chelsea Football Club and is a key contributor to the communications, fan engagement, marketing and commercial media strategies. The in-house content and production department create and publish video across multiple channels        

Digital Publisher: Original video content for chelseafc.com and all social media channels

Broadcaster: Sky channel 421, multiple international broadcast partners and a live stream via chelseafc.com. Live programming includes over 50 live outside broadcasts, daily live shows and a variety of post-production programming.

Internal Production : Branded Content, Commercial Partners, Marketing Campaigns and Activations, Club Events, Foundation, Academy and Player support.   

Role: To create and produce features and eye-catching content across all platforms. The candidate will have the ability to work independently and manage projects from inception to completion.

A role for an innovative producer with unique creative flair prepared to create compelling and original content while collaborating within a team environment.

This role will require flexible working hours including weekends, location work and a split between Stamford Bridge and Cobham training ground during the week.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Produce football features and short films that will sit across Chelsea platforms
  • Ability to work independently and also manage camera crews and editors
  • Consistent idea generation for features
  • Collaborate with motion graphics team on various projects
  • Produce daily news content, either live or pre-recorded (short and long form)
  • Work with internal departments on video projects and deliver content to required brief

Person Specification:

  • Extensive, demonstrable previous experience in broadcasting, preferably sports production
  • Strong features producer
  • Excellent organisational skills with robust attention to detail
  • Strong research and scripting skills
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
  • Flexible and pro-active approach; with ability to adapt ways of working accordingly
  • Ability to self-motivate and work effectively with minimal direct supervision
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to collaborate and share information

 

Measures of Performance:

  • Regular idea generation for content across all platforms
  • Production of well shot & edited short and long form content for use across all platforms
  • Meets deadlines as necessary for content production and publishing time frames
  • Meeting high production standards and quality of output set by management
  • Consistent delivery of the daily content plan
  • Meeting KPIs as outlined in the video strategy
