General Manager - Waltham Cross

We are currently recruiting for a Manager or Management Couple to run the Vine at Waltham Cross due to an internal promotion the vacancy has arisen. The Vine is situated a short distance away from the Lea Valley White Water Centre and close to the local amenities.  It has a great function room, large outside area and a popular Sunday Carvery.  This fabulous business currently operates as part of the McFayre concept.  It has a turnover of circa £17,500k per week, split 60:40 food to drink and serves 700 main meals a week.

Although already profitable The Vine is due for an investment, planned for late 2018. Therefore, we are looking for a Manager who can run this business both in its current form, and also be able to lead it through the development which we anticipate will increased sales greatly.  Strong first-time appointments will be considered if you have experience dealing with a varied guest base.

The right person / people will need to have had experience in building, developing and retaining great teams. You’ll need to spear-head a culture of smiles and positivity, resulting in great service and impeccable standards. Effective planning will be a key strength that you possess, spotting opportunities and understanding industry trends will be vitally important.
You will be responsible for professionally managing the P & L in line with budgetary constraints. We allow our managers a degree of autonomy, we think great personalities should run pubs, not marketing executives or machines!

Salary: From £27,000 - £32,000 based on Single Manager (Dependent on experience and concept background)
