Internationally acclaimed Taiwanese Brand Din Tai Fung will be opening its inaugural restaurant in the UK in 2018, and is looking for talented individuals to pioneer this initiative.

Have a passion for service? As a Junior Captain, you will join a dedicated team of F&B professionals, serving up world famous Taiwanese signatures.

As our Host/ Hostess, you are responsible to promote and ensure guest satisfaction, maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and ensure only the highest quality products are being served. You will establish rapport with guests to build guest loyalty and gather constructive feedback to ensure satisfaction of every individual guest.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Has shift responsibilities and is accountable to the Manager/Supervisor for the smooth running of the section or area designated
  • Supervise, oversee and assist colleagues throughout service
  • Assist in conducting training for colleagues to maintain the highest possible service and conduct in a first-class manner
  • Involve and prepare pre-service meeting/roll call for staff
  • Keep the Manager/Supervisor informed on all items of interest
  • Upkeep the restaurant’s cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Attend all meetings and training programs when required

Educational Qualification/ Experience / Skills and Competencies Requirements:

  • Secondary Education / Certificate in Health and Safety or Food Safety preferred
  • At least 2 years’ experience in relevant role

Personal Attributes:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin is a bonus
  • Presentable and well groomed

  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good communication and leadership skills
