Internationally acclaimed Taiwanese Brand Din Tai Fung will be opening its inaugural restaurant in the UK in 2018 and is looking for talented individuals to pioneer this initiative.
Have a passion for culinary arts? As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will join a dedicated team of F&B professionals in the Dim Sum Kitchen, serving up world famous Taiwanese signatures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in the management of the kitchen assisting the Sous Chefs and Head Chef
- Assist in shift scheduling
- Demonstrate great dumpling folding techniques and skills
- Check availability and ensure quantity of ingredients in outlet
- Order food items from Central Kitchen
- Ensure food items are consistently prepared according to company’s standards of quality and operations
- Conduct training for colleagues to maintain consistent highest possible of product quality and conduct in a first-class manner
- Responsible for food sales and wastage
- Enforce hygiene regulations and upkeep kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensure quality in Dim Sum preparation
Educational Qualification/ Experience / Skills and Competencies Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in similar role
- One of the following is preferred, City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery,
- BTEC HND in professional cookery, or a foundation degree in culinary arts.
- Health and safety and food hygiene certificates
- Experience in dumpling making preferred

- Independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent Leadership
- High level of personal hygiene
- Team player
- An ability to delegate appropriately
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a bonus
