Environments Co-ordinator

Asda Technology has an exciting opportunity for an Environments Co-ordinator to work within the Technology team in George House in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. You will be responsible for the delivery, maintenance and support of environments within Asda Technology. Proactively monitor, maintain and govern the environments to provide a consistent and stable platform for product and project delivery. You will liaise with a wide range of technical and project teams gaining a holistic view of environment usage and delivery. Analysing environment requirements they will facilitate and drive environment change including configuration changes and deployments.

What You’ll DoMonitor and maintain environments to ensure they remain available, stable and fit current and future requirementsCommunicate effectively with technical teams to gain an understanding of complex technical solutions before making recommendations or informed decisions on environmental change and impactCo-ordinate and manage deployments into test environmentsAnalyse environment requirements from project deliverables identifying, planning and co-ordinating environmental change to meet those requirements within agreed time and quality constraintsTake responsibility for environment scheduling, booking, allocation and reportingDevelop a strong technical understanding of integrations between applications including any dependenciesSupport project delivery by troubleshooting and resolving environment issues with the appropriate level of urgencyMaintain a library of Environment assets and promote reuse to reduce risks and costsDrive continuous improvement in environment delivery and availabilityDevelop strong working relationships with teams across Asda technology and Walmart, collaborating on best practice and ways of workingFacilitation of meetings with stakeholders & colleagues in Asda technology, Walmart and third partiesWork closely with the other colleagues within the Environments Team at identifying and developing new and inventive ways of environment provisioning and environmental reportingSkills You’ll NeedExperience in managing and supporting environments or applicationsHave the ability to communicate at a technical level with multiple teams across distinct disciplines such as networks, infrastructure, database, application development and testExperience in analysing complex requirements and troubleshooting technical issues Desirable: experience working in a technical role with hands on exposure to deployment tools and technologies such as (but not limited to) JIRA, SQL and LinuxDesirable: Experience in configuration management and managing deployments
