Catering Assistant - The Manor Huntingdon

£8.00 per hour (£10,428 per annum for 25 hours)

Permanent

Part time / 25 hours per week.  This will include some weekends.

The Manor is a home providing a range of services for adults with physical disabilities. Our home is situated in the beautiful village of Brampton, Cambridgeshire. We have beds for 20 disabled people of all ages, fully supported with 24-hour care if needed.

About the role

You will directly assist in maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen, as well as supporting the Cook or Catering Supervisor in the effective operation of the kitchen and food/beverage preparation and assist customers in the serving and consumption of food and/or beverages. (The exact day to day duties will vary according to the exact needs of the respective service).

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • To have a level 2 food hygiene certificate or willingness to work towards this.
  • To have food preparation experience and an understanding of safe and correct food hygiene/handling procedures.
  • To be able to work rostered hours.
  • To have empathy with Leonard Cheshire’s ethos and value base.
