Head of Event Sales and Planning - London

We are an iconic artistic venue based on the bank of the Thames in SE1, operating a diverse and lively business that incorporates a busy Restaurant and Bar with high profile internal Events spaces.

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Sales & Planning with a strong background in the industry to lead our Sales, Planning and Group Bookings teams.

Excellent communication skills, leadership, attention to detail and an outgoing personality are a must, as is flexibility and commitment to hard work.

Expectations will be to:

• Develop and oversee the delivery of an ambitious sales strategy to deliver targets in the region of £4 million per year, across events, group bookings and private dining
• Ensure the team manages and plans events with upmost care and attention to detail from the outset to beyond completion, consistently exceeding client expectations
• Create business development opportunities, including the launch of event and group booking packages
• Offer clear industry insights and market analysis to inform pricing strategy and product development
• Effectively manage business across the estate to maximise occupancy and develop group bookings/private dining in the Bar and Restaurant
• Ensure all events are profitable and income secured ahead of each event
• Represent the business externally at a senior level
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers and third parties, including the Globe Theatre.
